Carolinas Concert Association’s (CCA) educational programs are funded by generous contributions from our corporate sponsors, members of our Crown Society and the CCA Goodrich Education Fund. Carolinas Concert Association believes that truly great musical performances speak directly to the soul of the listener and transcend age, ethnicity and social background. Therefore our educational programs are designed to put top performing artists in direct contact with as many students from elementary school through young adults, as possible. In order to set goals of excellence, students of a particular performing discipline must experience outstanding performances of that discipline. By providing free and subsidized tickets for students, Carolinas Concert Association has made it possible for orchestra and band students to hear great symphonies, dance students to see international ballet companies, voice students to hear acclaimed singers, and instrumental students to hear outstanding artists perform. Carolinas Concert Association also presents in-school performances by internationally recognized artists. In our Master Classes, local students perform for and are taught by great artists. In the Company Dance Classes, young dancers witness professional solo performers striving to perfect the same essentials that they are trying to master. Carolinas Concert Association cooperates with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School (CMS) system, as well as with school systems in surrounding counties, to meet special needs when they occur. CCA has provided band and orchestral instruments to middle and high schools, offered special coaching of students on various instruments, recognized outstanding music and dance students, funded the CMS Middle School Honors Orchestra and Band, the CMS All-County Middle School Honors Chorus and presented educational programs in CMS designed for the development of musicians for the future. CCA also sponsors the Community School of the Arts Junior Flute Choir. Educational Opportunities For Students

I got to be first chair viola and it was a great experience.” – Emily, 8th grade “You guys have to be one of the coolest people of all times! It’s very interesting to watch professionals do what they do. It makes me realize that if I practice, I could play just like them.” – Sydney, 7th grade |
